By 7AM, I am usually 6 hours away from there, or anywhere I park. I drive nights for a reason.

Agreed, I had a 11am live unload in Dallas Monday to start my week, so I couldn't leave the house before 6:45, HATE starting that late, I shut down with an hour drive time left Monday (which I never do) just so I could start a little earlier today. Able to roll around 3:45 tomorrow, so at least it didn't take all week to close to normal.

Well @cdavis188 I had 680+ today so it was a good day today but that followed two 350 days (Wed/Mon) that bookended four days off when I only needed two days off so last week sucked. Hoping this week ends up a bit different. (@runningman0661 ya, they shut me down last week too. Nothing around that could get me out n back in time for my RTO on sat/sun so it was a four day weekend for me.)

Starting off ok so far. Although I’m headed to PA for delivery tomorrow so I shut down early Monday night so I could run the turnpike earlier than I normally drive as I know these places fill up fast.

In fact I almost didn’t get parked tonight. Stopped at one Plaza for a quick stop and all kinds of room to park but way too early to shut down. Got to my first option which turned out to be very small and it was already over flowing. Got to my second option and it had a few spots left but because others were already parked lengthways behind them on the outside curb there was no way to make the corner with my trailer. Ugh.

Finally found one with a bit of space ahead of it but I had to snake back into it. Left turn around a lamp post and right turn around the nose of a KW… finally backed it in clean. WHEW.

    Let’s see what tomorrow brings.

    stay safe

Be better if companies would just quit packing freight to CA. They seem to know everything and have all the answers, let them figure it out.

Just pulled up to the home 20, I had time off scheduled for this Friday, but after dropping in Four Oaks yesterday they just told me to bounce to the house. Fine by me, I have a back deck that needs some TLC, and a few other honey do’s to knock out.

Probably head up to our camper at the lake Friday for a long weekend. Be safe.

What happens if you refuse a load I have to deliver in NJ and would really prefer to not go to CT to reload... Anyway used truck prices are finally starting to go down I might finally soon be able to aquire one now the question would be what mileage I should look for.
