He'd probably call. The only problem is I've never seen anybody that got any smarter for being hit. It usually just confuses them and nothing really changes. They're still the dumb guy they were before you used the last option they left you.

They were serious about it too. Seen them make people take straps of of winches before they would load them.

 

Yeah, that was my load this time. And I told the"master" that facilities like that were usually really serious about throwing hooks. These people don't realize a man has more bones besides the head that is "protected" by a hard hat.

 

I think it's more about damaging the load from a short throw.

 

To continue the thread, another guy was unloading his high load today by pulling the straps while hooks were coming from the other side and sliding off the tarp and right towards his head. And he didn't have a hard hat.

 

I do that all the time. It's not like gravity will throw a curve ball. Just stand to one side and pay attention. My company keeps the straps in the winches so I've gotten good at hucking hooks over containers and lumber. If anyone is around I peek under the trailer before each throw.

Nope. There’s snow forecast just west of Denver. Here’s a screen shot from the video I took few hours ago. I-70 East of Denver next to KS border. It hailed so much and so hard it looked like snow and the road was slushy.
