Try calling samsara and pretend you have a issue like it crashing .. we had samsara and boss was losing it trying to resolve constant issues so he switched to motive . So far it’s been good .. both will route your calls to a foreign country though.

Running Geotab for $21/month. Don’t know if it is good or bad compared to Motive. I have used Keep Trucking in the past and wasn’t impressed with that either.
If you are off duty don’t touch the app or it will flip you to On Duty and you get a surprise when you get back in the truck. -
Surely they would have contacted us if that was the case.. Gonna do some Googling now. -
I've been using Motive and am pretty happy with it.
Reasonably low cost, easy to setup & use and reliable - literally zero glitches, app crashes, etc since I started using it in January, so I can't comment on their tech support. I run it on my phone (Samsung S10 Edge) with the vehicle gateway plugged into the truck and hidden under the dash.
Their desktop dashboard has interesting metrics you can track and monitor. For example, it will notify you if it suspects fuel theft from your truck. I like the fuel economy tracker (so I don't have to do the math myself) and as a driver, it helps keep me mindful to drive efficiently.
If I had a larger fleet, I'd consider Isaacs as they have even more telemetry and data available but I think Motive is great for what it costs.Last edited: May 15, 2023
ilovetruckz and farmerdrew Thank this. -
I dont mind Isaac, does have some glitches but we have a customized install of Isaac so our dispatch is implemented into it which I assume is the cause of majority of glitches. Easy to use IMO
ilovetruckz Thanks this. -
I prefer Motive as it’s pretty simple to use.

Only issue i have with Isaac is with the charging docks . We have problems in the daycabs where the little pins on the bottom of the tablets get all messed up and then will not charge . If you don’t have a charger cord you’re screwed and then have to go to an installation place in Mississauga that’s closed at like 4 or 5pm . Other then that don’t have any issues -

Local driver daycab ,slip seat and we have to remove the tablets and take pictures of the signed bol and customs with the boarder stamp when ever we make a delivery so company can bill customer faster .We also use our tablets to take pictures of any equipment we find with any damage . our issac tablets get removed from the charging docks a lot and apparently the place who fixed them now will not give drivers a charging cord anymore will only replace the charging dock -
edit, actually I think our isaacs are dedicated to the unit actually
