    Looking at Google, they suggest that the 237 (early Maxidyne?) was inclined to go backwards

    Go with fuel. The schedule will be more predictable, and even if you have the odd 14-hr day, you'll be going home. None of this "bring an overnight bag in case you get caught out" ########.

    Maybe WAY back in the day, but the places I worked, if you couldn't dump a whole compartment at a station, that was a "no hold" and they didn't get any. so then;

    A) Drop it at the next station on your sheet, and let dispatch know.

    B) Tell dispatch you have a no hold, and ask for instructions.

    C) Bring it back to the rack, and "load around it" for your next load.

    D) Drop it at one of your stations that you know it will fit, and let dispatch know.

    Interesting that the subject of fuel hauling has come up.

    If the forklift shop doesn't come up to the money we talked about in the interview, then I will be financially unable to continue in their employ.... meanwhile, Marathon Ashland Petroleum LLC is blowing up my mailbox looking for drivers.

    I THINK I've learned my lesson concerning driver facing cameras and the Full-Service Nanny Package on truck tractors, but the siren song of the "long green" is difficult to resist.

    Dave, got a question about Baseball and how the MLB change in timing the pitchers to move the game along. Has this affected your predicting winners in the Great American Pastime?

    I drove one of those for a bit and never had it happen, although that isn’t to say it’s not possible.

    I got an Econodyne in a Mack R-686ST to run backwards. I've told the story on here before, but it involved stalling out on a hill and rolling backwards a bit, perhaps with enough friction in the clutch to spin the engine backwards, but I don't know for sure.

    Yes, exhaust puffs were coming out of the air cleaner.

    I stopped it by jamming the trans in first and letting go of both pedals.

    My trainer was not pleased.

    Nope, not a bit. Didn't predict before, don't predict now. I'm right on track.

    No. We just hope The Dbacks win.

    St. Louis just did an outstanding job on The Dodgers too.
