Today, I ran bobtail 129mi, all 2-lane. I got 11.5mpg and was thinking about Joel and Henry doing that pulling a loaded trailer. Haha.

    Siinman Thanks this.

Ended up with one of our older trailers. Going to be bouncing this off some bumps later.

Saving up to 2.23% on a single truck may not be worth it. That's why I mainly have seen these on fleet operations where up to 2.23% on 500+ trucks can make a difference.

looks close to how high mine is. So far no problems and getting ready to use it again on this load. I think the newer trucks are more stable and causes less issues.

How are you coming up with 2.23 percent?

Truck airbags and suspensions haven't really changed any in the 20+ years I've been driving. I think he might actually have the exact same suspension on his 2022 that I had on my 2003 an AG380. And the rear suspension on my 1999 Freightliner is the exact same thing that's under the 2019 Cascadia I'm driving now. Same thing with trailer suspensions. I'll bet if you run that trailer down the length of I-65 you'll see the same thing I saw from some of the poor pavement. I would say avoid I-65 from TN all the way to Gary, IN altogether lol.

I’d like to avoid all of Indiana.

Just made it through IN on I 70. I hate this road with a passion.

That was partly why I passed on a contract I was offered. I’d have to do all 156mi of it, 2X a day, with a 611mi total, everyday, in a 67mph truck. That’s an unfavorable gamble, because there’s no way that Effingham > Dayton stretch is going to be perfect, twice a day, every single day, year ‘round. I’m not one for setting up myself for failure.

I did that 156 miles ride as well today. And 465 south is closed now in Indianapolis, so I've lost 45 minutes there.
When someone like Mike Pence was a governor of your state, there's no surprise why you have the worst roads in the country.
