It was booked by someone else before he got it. They canceled the load and the rate con never got changed. happens when you get a last minute load a lot of times when time is of essence.

Maybe you're right Lloyd. I should probably just sign for the $75 and be rid of them. But man, I hate to let him think he got one over on me! You know how it is...

Oh man, I would have been squeezing the cajones of that broker until they pop and diamonds fall out then. That's on them. They were paying the other guy $695...gimme $1000 and I will get it covered for you. Ft worth to El Paso is what, 600 miles? The other guy probably found something better and told them to stick it.

It wont be the last broker on your "desperate times only" list. I don't have my own authority, yet. May never, but my uncle has his and he gets messed around a lot. But he also only has a hotshot setup.

I agree and I am the type of person that holds a grudge for decades. It was really hard to let go on stuff like that but the business side of me understands it is a waste of time.

Use to happen a lot. I have not seen it happen that much this year since rates are crap.

    Stringb8n and gekko1323 Thank this.

Par for the course. Not worth the fight in my opinion.

But you never sent them back the 500$ signed ratecon, yes you had the strikethrough ratecon, but thats not valid unless they countersign the strikeouts.

Read fine print, if NOTHING states 75$ tonu, then thats 75 better than you otherwise are actually entitled to.

If it says 150$, you have a leg, albeit very shaky to stand on

    gekko1323 Thanks this.
