We have about a 50% wash out rate.
Due to the fact that they have to work nights, weekends and holidays till they gain seniority.

Here where I am at is a little different. More than half of our senior drivers work nights. They like that there’s no traffic to deal with. I am last on the seniority board and I have an afternoon start. They like to take the midnight to 5 am starts.

Lol. We are short a few drivers and same thing happened over here. I think they chicken out due to the fact that it’s so different from your regular freight moving, safety policies and schedules

Sooooo....for the time being, anyway....is it safe to say that you guys are all staying at least relatively busy (i.e., 40 hours a week--or more)?

    If not--why not, ya think?

The guys at my old barn are only getting 40 hours a week because of the union contract clause. The main planner (a really awesome guy!) was promoted, as happens, as planning is the break in position for the company, and they dont have anyone to step up yet, so His supervisor has been planning and is single handedly doing her best to destroy the CO2 market up here for Linde. Another arrogant 'Leader' that refuses to listen to employees who tell her that the 20 year old fill zone equipment, that Linde refuses to fix, isnt giving the correct tank levels and that she is dispatching product that exists only in hopes and dreams and customers are running out left and right.

And they just sent me another job opening there, LOL! Now I have to go drive over and see who quit.

Our best planner was Al who quit/retired like a week or 2 ago.

I'm doing back-to-back pick ups from Minnesota going down to Indiana picking up Argon and filling tanks on the way back.

Matt was our main guy and he was extremely competent. We also had Chris, But I'm honestly unsure of whether He was an actual planner or not, as he seemed to have other rolls.
