Like I said, my dealers were pulling in 100k. Even the worst ones were pulling in 80k. And they STILL complained.

Where else can you pay $1000 for a 6-week course and immediately land a job making 80-100k?

If I wasn’t working for one of, if not the best LTL barns up this way I would die happy never having to step foot in that #### hole again

    Define making it?
I guess I could survive on those out west rates, none of my bills would get paid lol but I'd survive.

    PPLC Thanks this.

Making it is different for everyone.. What works for me May not work for you and vice versa. I worked west of i15, North of i80 and east of i5 for 2.5 years... some will say it can never be done..But there's guys doing it day in and out.. And I only say that because I have met them personally. plenty of small fleets running flatbed and maxi trailers that are limited to such a small area... if there was no work that stuff wouldn't exist... Not disagreeing that eastbound doesn't pay #### out of here. But that's nothing new as far as I know... plenty of North and South work out of Cali that I remember doing... flatbed is a regional type of freight anyways. Its always going to be hard to run cross country with a flat...would say if you can't make it work out here then don't come. but that does not mean there is no work or that it pays terrible.. Because it simply isn't true, just because the stuff doesn't hit the boards doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Or that the rates on the boards is what everyone is making.

I should say that post is not to be argumentative. Just sharing my rambling thoughts.

Doing regional out west has always not been the best option. Think you'd agree with me on that.
It's incredibly more dead than it was 2 years ago also.
