So free PSA even if you are in a hurry trying to make second load for the day. Make sure to take a few minutes to double check your first load before you take off. This was on flat level ground after loader put it all to one side. Good thing i get out to check at the fiest stage period out of parinoia.

Oh well got my workout for today shoveling it level 20230616_153853.jpg 20230616_153857.jpg 20230616_152003.jpg lol

My boss likes to ask in situations like these "why didn't you say something", and if I'm being honest, the older I've got the more I've adopted the mentality of "it's not my job to tell another grown man how to do his job". Is that the right approach? Probably not, but I've noticed on several occasions the loader not doing their job correctly, and I've mentioned it and it's done nothing but get blown way out of proportion, typically I get mother F'ed a few times, and frankly I don't have the energy for that anymore. Sucks that happened, glad you got it out of there though.

In case anyone is wondering, today marks 2 months my anthem has been in the shop, an engineer is coming down from Allentown in the next week or so and vows to fix it, say a prayer, I miss the old truck.

Eh i dont mind being a ####### right back to them and have cussed them down...or into a fist fight a few times over the years. Never at bones yet but eh give it time. But in all seriousness i dont mind the workout. I like a chance to work even if im slow at it.

Also big oof and i thought my truck had issues. Deffo not selling me on the mack i ordered and have me more leaning towards a new engine. Hopefully they unbork yours soon.

@Arctic_fox did you say you have a Mack on order? I will say from what I gather this issue is relating to one of the many control units in this truck not communicating with the others when ohms either spoke or drop? It’s been a nightmare thus far but I will try to inform you more of what exactly it is when I know for sure it’s fixed. From what I can remember, I’ve had an oil cooler gasket go bad right out of the gate, numerous alignment issues, lots of rattles, the hood rattle on the anthem is mind numbing, mechanically it’s been an ok truck, but my overall experience has been about a 7/10, not horrible but not great.

I think i at one time had asked you @Trashtrucker1707 about the mack as to how they were compared to the older ones. I've been in 2 different 2017's now. One a short hood pinnacle an one a full hood pinnacle rawhide edition. Neither one as good as the old million mile sharkey macks i drove back in 2009. Course maybe one of these would've been better had they been better taken care of from brand new.
My volvo at climate was more comfy, but then again it was a condo.

I’ve been with this company and in Mack’s with them since 2008, I had a 2011 Vision and it was by far the best out of them all. Mechanically the anthem isn’t terrible, the apu helps out immensely with emission issues, but overall the build quality isn’t what it used to be. The 2011 was an overall tight truck, felt like a truck, pretty quiet. My 2019 anthem is loose, noisy, and basically feels slapped together.

Hauled DDG's on the hopper bottom yesterday. Unloaded this morning. I now know that summer time is the wrong time to be hauling that stuff fresh out of a plant overhead loadout. It was hot an sticky. Took me 3 hours to get that crap off my trailer. The guy on the end loader helped me one time with getting the rear hopper started. After that he gave up an kindly got back in his air-conditioned cab an played on his phone an watched. That was quite an experience.

Throw 3 or 4 basketballs into each hopper before you load that sticky stuff under an overhead chute. The basketballs will create a pocket between the product and the door, and it won’t pack in transit. When you open the hopper the basketballs come out, and the product plops out behind em.
