I looked that tire up on Michelin's site. The tire lists as 27/32" depth new. I measured about 19/32" of an inch remaining currently. Supposedly they came off of an 08' Pete that was sold at Doonans. The guy buying the truck wanted brand new tires.

One of the tire monkeys got a little snarky with me and stated something to the effect that "they had most of their useful life already used up". I just sat there thinking "ok kid" you change tires for a living making $10 an hour, and your dogging on me for not spending $3200 on a new set of tires lol. What a little snot:biggrin_25513: I wonder if he throws away his roll over minutes :biggrin_2559:

LOL! Not to mention that drives will actually get better mileage as the tread wears down. Sounds like the kid has lots to learn before he graduates from tire flipper.

One more week of reprieve sounds like :biggrin_25523: more wheat and beans. NO MILO!!!

He's peaked. I shouldn't make fun but that kids lazy eye... Never mind, that's not nice of me.

At least getting the tires put on knocks down the "fix it" list on my truck. Still left to do is the Egr or Egr Cooler (which ever it may be), new brakes all around, and I gotta get a new condenser on the truck so I have AC before it warms up. I am NOT going through wheat harvest with no air conditioning this year.

BTW, my new steer tires have about 20K or so on them by now. They are wearing perfectly, I couldn't be happier. Alan at A&G Alignment is THE MAN when it comes to alignments.

Why would the hispanics move to kansas? It's weird. Over here it's the people that speak English that cut the rates yes believe it. I saw an aggregate hauler T8 with a fairly new vantage. Dad worked with a broker named mike for them. Effin A hole. But his rates weren't anything special and this was back when diesel was high. I bet he's still in business screaming over the phone. I'd like to meet him face to face and punch him.:biggrin_25510:
