Oh I didn’t finance because if I had to I wouldn’t be purchasing. Banks deem transportation as high risk so they slap a premium on their rates. And besides the manufacturers and BMO I doubt there’s too many other institutes out there willing to take the credit risk right now.

How does a guy get to the point that he can slap 100k cash on a trailer. Must take a long time. Nice work

I don't think there's a secret sauce we are just conservative financially and during the peak rates we took that opportunity to payoff all of our equipment.

We also got lucky with how the used equipment market was. Our 3-4 year old equipment we traded in at the time was going for what we originally paid. Now though that's all reversing and the inflated prices we paid for new equipment are quickly dropping in value. One particular trailer in our fleet I knew we overpaid for but that's what the price was at that time for a trailer. That trailer is 9 months old and I bet it's worth 35% less than what we paid for it.

Double digit interest rates used to be the norm in the “before time” . We got used to the “Fed” keeping rates at near zero

Adept ape has a video out about huge increases coming in 2027 . Manufacturers will have to warranty emissions for 450 k instead of the current 100 k mandated . Could be a 25 k plus price increase, that shows how much current customers are paying out of warranty right now .

I'm leaning hydrogen. I think supply of metals will be an issue for the size of batteries needed for a semi. Your moving 80k lbs. Not a 4k car.
