I thought you folks might be able to provide me with some info. I am traveling on a load to Montreal this weekend, and my wife is joining me. We will be crossing at the thousand islands bridge. I have been through there several times, but I have never really paid much attention regarding places to park. She would love to have a chance to go up in the observation tower at thousand islands. Isthere any place to park reasonably a loadedsemi-close? Thanks in advance.

It's within walking distance from the Canadian customs lot.

Man, there are parking areas at customs on both sides, plus at the duty-free shops as well as at the currency exchange building. FWIW, there really ain't a lot to see at the Thousand Islands (don't even remember any tourist-traps like that last time I drove there), so expect to be underwhelmed after they fleece more money out of you than the thing is worth.
FWIW, Montreal has a LOT of things to see, and if you manage to perk your rig somewhere near a Metro station, the subway is clean, fast, smooth, modern and safe.
