I work out of Chicago delivered a load to Walmart they refused it no paperwork sat in truck stop 37 hrs got paid $75 hr the steamship payed it that's why I pull containers don't have to worry about all this bullcrap

There is no way in Hell a company, any company, would sit on that load for a week for free. They’re charging $750-$1000/ day for the truck. $200/day for the driver is fair. Especially if the driver was ON TIME for the original appointment.
If you were late, shame on you driver, here’s $120 a day/next time make sure your arse is 15 minutes early.
So, can OP negotiate a deal? Or is it time to abandon ship? -
