Truths:
1. She didn’t set the brakes.
2. She got fired.
Everything else is BS
When a company driver brings a truck to a shop for a service, who pays? When a company driver damages property, who pays. You don’t get fired from a job then have to pay for property damage.
“What about DAC?”
What about it? This one accident isn’t going to stop her.Chinatown Thanks this. -

My rule of thumb is if I loan friends or family money I already write it off. Sometimes it comes back to me sometimes it doesn’t. If it doesn’t come back to me I let it go and don’t say anything. On the other hand I probably don’t want to loan money in the future to the same person.

She’s even considering paying the $6k ?!
and she’s wanting to borrow it ?
we need more info .
Im sure other will chime in here with opinions but
there is NO way I’d pay the company I was employed by $6k for damage ,
Especially if they already fired me .
Was she a W-2 employee or a 1099 contractor ?
