    Well ####! Yea I know it’s important. Just was curious as to how dangerous it was riding like that. Didn’t realize it till this morning after the rain cleaned my truck off from the mess when I got it stuck at a receiver lol

    @Brianjr323
    If you’re looking for drivers in here to pat you on the shoulder and tell you that it’s ok to have lax practices as far as your truck goes, it’s not going to happen. I would guess that most of these guys are my age (52) or better. We grew up in a different age. Admit you screwed up, got extremely lucky, and learn from it.
    Btw, a little more background on me if it makes a difference. I haul Hazmat waste in tankers. Some days I’m 75,000 lbs going down the road and other days I’m at 127,000 lbs going down the road. Do I take the safety of my truck seriously? You bet you ### I do!!!

    No I’m looking for people to help other drivers out instead of insult someone looking for help and trying to learn. And if you’re assuming, which I guarantee you ate cause of your remark of making a mistake. I do my pretrips every morning so. No I did not make any mistakes. Now have a good day.

    Alrighty then. IF something had happened and you wound up in front of a judge, they would laugh at your lame excuse. Js

    If it ever went that route. It’s my word, logs, and camera evidence against JUST there word. Can’t fault someone for missing something so small.

    I don't drive anymore. So maybe I'm talking out my neck. Straight up, you did make a mistake. You didn't check your truck after the situation where you were pulled out. VI are not just for before you drive. It's an all day thing. I drove log trucks in the PNW, you didn't want a Houston we have a problem. Enjoy the rest of your holiday and be safe for yourself out there.

    I did check my truck after that ‍♂️ kinda hard to see your missing a rubber black cap when your truck looks like you just drove thru the desert and mud and rocks all the way your step rails

    Get some oil in it and replace the plug. You are incredibly lucky it hasnt overheated yet and caught on fire. Being on the steer axle..if that catches on fire. Its going to get that fiberglass hood and burn your entire truck down.. Hopefully u are quick in your thinking to safely pilot your truck to the side of the road with 1 steer tire and raging fire out your windshield... Its important to do walk around your truck everytime you stop.. And being stuck in mud and rocks is no excuse.. Many guys on here have worked deep in the bush and had tru ks so dirty and muddy you cant even tell what color paint is on it... This was a rookie mistake .. Learn from it and dont make the same mistake again.. We all done dumb #### before.
