Probably packed the office in Billings and run away . I’m laughing thru tears because they owe me $3300.

 

Last summer they had a whole bunch of dropped trailers at the Town Pump on the north side of 90. Vans and flats. Then one trip I noticed most of them were gone.

I always wonder what happened to cause the downhill slide of an old company like that. I tend to assume they expanded too fast or bought a bunch of equipment and lost an account.

Had a carrier take a load, then gave it to a broker who gave it to another carrier. Filed a FG report. They tried to give us a 1000.00 comchek to take it down because they couldn't book any loads. LOL

 

I had a Glendale gang threaten to come find me and make me #### my pants. I told them they better bring an UZI. Ive heard of them showing up to 3pls with cash, threats, DDS attacks, spamming reviews everywhere they can. It mind blowing but then again, if they make millions scamming the ill informed, then 1000 is chump change.

 

I think this one was stopped before they really got going. I'm sure they just moved to another carrier MC#

 

In my past I use to work for one family owned company. Great pay, great equipment, great relations. One day 75 years old boss decide to retire. Kids destroyed company with 80 years of history in one year.

 

The scam is typically the scammer buys a carrier MC and reports they have a truck to the FMCSA. They use that MC to pose an actual o/o or trucking company to get loads from brokers, and then turn around and book those loads with actual carriers under a brokerage MC#. If they are the least scummy of the scumbags, they will pay the actual carrier they book the load with, but a lot of them just don't pay the carrier, forcing them to go after the shipper or the actual broker the load was assigned to for payment.

 

Exactly. And if you are the real broker and you paid the scammer, say 3500, and then the actual delivering carrier calls you for payment, saying he was contracted for 5000, you might end up paying 8500. Maybe you end up paying 7000 if the carrier is reasonable. Either way some dude in Armenia wearing waaaaaay too much Drakar Noir is driving a BMW off of our hard work with 0 liability or skin in the game.

The key to it is their factoring companies that they own (after real factoring figured out the scam and cut them off). That is how the scam works and how they are able to collect from brokers with using 2000 different MC#s. They also own insurance so are able to just deny deny deny any claims....
