Used to get about 5.3 mpg pulling these with my aero Pete. Doesn't make much a difference pulling equipment

I’m amazed a Truck can get over 8 or 9 mpg consistently. It’s impressive. The series 60 held bragging rights for a long time after it was introduced. I’ve stuck with the 12.7 for many other good reasons. There were some Cummins that got excellent mpg’s. The M11 and L10. Both were severely underpowered. Always having injector problems. Sound familiar? Cummins claimed to have injector problems corrected back in 1996. Lol. Recently saw an M11 in an old ratty 1980’s FLD. It had new injectors. Guy was slowly fixing it up. Truck looked like it was pulled from a junk yard. Closer look, it was clean, just faded paint and never washed. Guy said he gets 8.5 mpg. Not bad. Very economical way to go.
