I believe I mentioned that. What's your point?

 

The point being “just say no”!!
Everyone seems to think that they can get behind the wheel of a CMV while smoking weed or using CBD oils,which has become more of an issue. I know over the past 3-4 months we’ve terminated at least 40 drivers because of either weed or CBD oils in their drug screen,despite the fact that the company has warned about it numerous times over the past year and a half!

 

If I were to guess, probably every type of drug on the market & underground. If you don't have a prescription for it, or it's outright illegal, stay away from it.
Best bet of all:
Stay away from all alcoholic beverages & alcoholic mouthwashes, tobacco, drugs, over the counter medicines, & bagels with poppy seeds. This way you are good to go, with no worries.

The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, every night, all year round.

 

Okay, Nancy Reagan. I guess you think Beer ain't the same...or worse? And yet, I see many taking that particular beverage to their trucks for their 10. Big cans, if not cases.

As for CBD, truck stops used to sell that. Remember? First time I saw that, I figured the ignorance behind how that's made would literally end careers.

I'm not advocating for weed use, just to be clear. Even if it ever became legal at Federal level it wouldn't be for us anyway, for obvious reasons. I honestly think there should be a total prohibition, including alcohol. Heck, I would even support going as far as extending these tests and prohibitions to any office staff remotely connected to our industry.

Then again, I would also support a baseline IQ test for drivers, so what do I know?

 

First of all,knock it off with the insults. Second, I don’t drink beer (does nothing for me) and even then I wouldn’t have it in my truck cab(or any alcohol for that matter),that’s just common sense,along with the law. Lastly,just because they sell CBD at truck stops along with alcohol or other illicit substances doesn’t mean that you should use it while driving a CMV.

 

I might suggest a little focus, as in reading and comprehending ALL of what I've written. As it is now, you seem to just want to argue...when, in reality (should you read EVERYTHING), we happen to agree.

 

It seems more like you want to argue just to argue. And I don’t have time for that or for people who insult others trying to get their point across.

Had companies send me for drug tests quite a few times in the 90s. I was disappointed every time! No drugs to test at all! Just had to pee in that stupid bottle! Party row was awesome back in the day.

 

This is one of the reasons why the party’s over!
