Nah.. Double 48' in Ohio, Indiana, NY Thruway, and Mass Pike. Triple pups on the Ohio Pike, Indiana Toll Road, Oklahoma Pike, Kansas Pike, Nevada, Utah, Oregon, and maybe some other western states. Rocky Mountain doubles are a 48' with a pup on the back in some western states.

I have an Ohio triples card in my wallet but never used it other than running a set of triples between exits for my certification - crazy how long it looked behind me. If it was legal to pull em I'd give it a shot though. I'd pull 5 pups if it was legal and the pay rate reflected what I was doing..lol..

There are times when you just have to walk away from people like that,....

With our pay scale there isn't enough hours in a day or week to make 170K!!,...

Up to around 125k is just about the max with the 11-14 rules,...For mileage and dock time,....

This is simply a sub-standard wage that cannot be tolerated in todays trucking industry. Something needs to be done to stop the exploitation of line-haul drivers at UPS Freight.

That would be about the wage if a driver was totally maxing out possible miles and hours of service,.....

Give or take a few thousand,......

I think most runs are more comparable to what you run,.....

Don't sugar coat it..lol.. UPS Freight/Parcel line-haul are the two best paying jobs I know of on the road. I know in 2012 your line-haul drivers will be making .66 and over 26 an hour.. Could you imagine how big my mouth would be at those rates? A long run here make you 95K on a 60 hour book - a long run there on a 70 hour book will make you $140K.. Un freakin real.. Good for you guys and I mean that..

My Indiana license says I can pull doubles and triples, tankers and hazmat
(XT).Would I have to get an Ohio triples card to pull triples in Ohio?

When I was running the Toll Road I used to see a lot of the Central Transport twin 48'.Are these allowed to go off the toll road,or do they have to break them down?

I read somewhere where the triple pups are only allowed 15 miles off the Toll Road.

You do need a triples certification from the state of Ohio - not sure about In since I would never have made it that far.

My Pa license has the doubles/triples on it but in order to pull triples in Ohio you must carry the card. I did the classroom stuff which involved some videos and I had to run between exits with another Con-way driver that was already certified to pull triples (they are real long in your mirror). You also need 5 years of doubles experience to get certified. The access varies but we never go more than a mile or two off the Pike to the terminal and the permits are expensive. Nobody goes 15 miles off the toll roads with any LCV. We have a terminal 4 miles off the Ohio Pike and triples are denied..

Never pulled em on a line-haul run but the gold card in my wallet says I can..lol..
