Rookie mistake, I cleaned out the fridge but forgot food in the freezer section of the fridge during home time. I came back to a few ants walking around the truck, but a massive amount inside the fridge. Do I get bug spray and just spray the #### out of them and hope for the best? Can I do a bug bomb next time I'm on home time?

i had this problem last year.. they got into my truck. remove the food source and spray some disinfectent on the trails they take inside the truck... mainly if there is no more food to munch on they will leave on their own in a couple days.

What happened was that you parked near an ant hill. When you change locations, your new little friends will leave in search of the colony.

No need for any harsh chemicals to be dispensed in your tiny living space. :thumbright:

To the ant eater, I wonder if fire ants are the Carolina Reapers of the ant world. Hmmmm.

Fire ants sure are mofo's if they get on you. Several weeks ago I was somewhere in FL and had just gotten empty and parked in an area against the fence row at the receiver. I'm at the back of my trailer with the doors open checking things out looking at all the trash they were nice enough to leave in there when I felt some stinging around my ankles. I'm in shorts and running shoes so I look down and my foot/ankle was covered with dozens of the little ######## so I start hopping and dancing, bouncing around everywhere  and for several weeks afterwards I had little red spots everywhere they stung me.

This is easy to do in the summer.

Just park your truck in the sun, turn up the heat and walk away for about an hour or two. Will kill everything.

Some guys have to do this when their new job gives them a truck infested with bed bugs.

This Ortho stuff sprayed along all the corners of the interior and under your fridge will take care of them. The problem you’re going to have with them, now, is they’re everywhere you can’t see. Any food is going to be a problem; when you lie down for the night will be a problem; they’re simply going to be a problem. You need something that will be working against them, all the time. This product is what I used in both the places I lived in FL and up here in IL. It will kill everything, without a noticeable smell.
