So I got a call from Goulet about a regional position. Will require hazmat, passport and operate a 18 speed. But I never did end dump before. Also only stick I have ever used was a 10 speed years ago. Pay looks good at 26% with a increase every year. Also a sign on bonus paid out over the course of 18 months. I tried look them up. Only found a post from 2018. That didn't sound good.

Do you want to sleep in the truck 100 or 200 miles from home…?
They do run nice stuff tho .

Their hazmat is mostly dirty dirt ……

18 and 13 speed are similar enough to 10 speed you can learn it. Go watch some of the YouTube videos. That's how I learned 13 speed. You just use the "2nd splitter" differently in some gears.

They do a good bit of landfill work, and salt.. Both can be a royal PIA with a lot of sit time. Goulet overall has a pretty good reputation they have been around a long time. Equipment is also really good. When I pulled a bucket around upstate NY I never heard anything bad about them.

To be fair. With them based out of Massachusetts. Then I'm already that far away from home. The Irving right at the ME/NH border is around 140 miles from my home

I'm just unsure if I should get into end dump. Even if the money is good. Especially since indeed reviews don't look good.

Give it a try if it doesn't work you have other options.

Not trying to discourage you away from end dump, rather educate you, but if you do decide to go this route pay attention to what you’re taught, especially if you’re doing dirty dirt to landfills, the job on a perfect day is no joke, toss in dumping in a landfill and it gets real serious. There’s a few of us on here who do the work, and any of us would tell you if you don’t have a healthy respect for the trailer it will end up bad, but for me there’s nothing I’d rather do. Treat that trailer with respect when it comes off the ground and you’ll be ok.
