How’s it going guys,
Long time lurker here, finally decided to grow a pair and actually post! Lol anyways, I’ve got 3 years of LTL exp. and I’m looking to get into fuel hauling. I also think it’s worth mentioning that I’m finally getting back into the driver seat after a 6 year break in driving (tried to switch career paths). With that said, I understand that a lot of companies want recent exp., however, there HAS to be someone out there that’ll at least give me a look considering my situation.
anyone know of any companies? (Tacoma, WA)
Appreciate it in advance!

Without knowing your location (city/state, and/or zip code)...there's really no worthwhile way to be able to help you.
You will of course still need your hazmat for this -- & many locations will also very likely want/prefer a TWIC.
Given the status of the current overall cdl job market, and your total lack of driving experience over several years....I would be hesitant to give you much in the way of "sunshine".....for fear of too much "false hope"......

Ok, well, there’s that. Thanks?

I can totally understand the need for further context, such as my location, which is what I went back and added. Maybe I came off a bit arrogant? If so, my apologies.
I’ve got my Tanker and I will be taking my hazmat written exam next week. -
Before you fill out any applications for fuel duty -- understand first, that all work shifts are seniority-based; thus, you will very likely start off working nights, weekends, and.....especially....holidays.
Your "weekend" will very likely be either: tues/wed, or wed/thurs.
Sooooo -- to start out, you will sleep when everyone else is awake....and vice-versa.
You will deal with inconsiderate/abusive idiots in the parking lots of your customers, and constantly get hit on for money (you've got it -- they need it, end of story...for them, at least). Others will stare and comment in amazement at how you blindly and naively cheat death every day -- by pulling that "rolling bomb"....you call a tanker.
All the above assumes that everybody above you both in dispatch and safety is a cool cat (NOOOTTT!).
If you live in a snowy area during cooler weather -- be prepared also to scrape/sweep snow and ice off of everybody's tank lids -- after you find them, of course.
The best gigs in fuel are with the private carriers. But since you bring no recent experience to the table -- I think for you those jobs are simply out of the question.
Why, you might ask? Simple.
You're competing for those jobs with other drivers who in many cases have at least several years of fuel hauling experience -- along with the safety records to back that up.
Some jobs will want previous fuel experience; others, will train you from brand new.
With all that said -- here's two for you to sample, that you just might have a shot at:
KAG Energy -- solo fuel hauler -- no fuel exp req'd
&
Jackson Energy Logistics -- no fuel exp req'd -- Seattle, WA

Jedi_Trucker Thanks this. -
Thank you!
As I previously mentioned, my apologies if my reply to your first comment might’ve come off arrogant. I appreciate the advice! -
