Was stuck at receiver last night, out of hours. Could have pc’d to a truck stop. But didn’t. Made it to a truck stop, waiting to hear about next load. What are the chances of me going home on time tomorrow? And home before 6 pm. I’d say 50/50.

In the dealer fast service bay they work as a team. With a second set of eyeballs on everything and a checklist administrated by the lead which makes the lead available at all times to take note of something just not right. Watched one where the wrench was having trouble with something and they rotated another guy in to show him how it was done. No fussing or screaming.... just a coaching moment. I tend to trust the fast service bays.
I am a cheap bastage so once out of warranty I tend to go to local quick lube place that runs about 1/2 of dealer price, so just a bit over retail cost of materials. That means they are making money via bulk purchase, parts, and supplies discounts. Unfortunately the standard service does not include tire rotation. Have to see what they charge for that.
Back in the dealer warranty/deep repair bays I would go with the practice of double checking work.
It is one of the interesting things about the electric. Maintenance is a fluid levels check, air filters check, and tire rotation, with a general once over inspection on the lift. I think it is 10 years/100k miles worth covered in the price of the car.Feedman, Dale thompson, Dave_in_AZ and 8 others Thank this. -
I've been taking care of my "furry grandson" while Missus Skillet and my son were outta town.
So young Master Skillet and I are going to lunch whilst Missus Skillet goes to a routine doctor's appointment.
I am pleased.......86mechanic, JolliRoger, Feedman and 11 others Thank this.
