What's the one beside it, Compass Materials? When I ran LTL we would occasionally pick up there and it was like their first day every time I went in there. I got to where I didn't even give them a Pickup # because they could never find it anyway, I'd just tell them I'm looking for x amount of pallets going to this zip code. Run around every single time.

Yes. Compass Minerals formerly North American Salt. I used to load food grade out of there when I pulled pneumatic.

Not to mention the drivers that see you getting in the truck an starting to pull up, yet hurrying up to run by you so they can get to the scale before you. Had that happen today at Hutchinson Ks. Driver was clear back coming into the entrance an gauged me before I could move a foot.

Got our load of salt off. Had to wind row it off. That was a nice easy load to deal with on both ends. Gonna maybe go run some fertilizer an then take a load out west into the Arizona Heat. That's providing the load doesn't cancel again. Waiting for an airbag to get changed on my trailer 1st. Have things picked up freight wise for any of you guys on here? I've been staying busy, but the rates have been down some.

We are staying real busy. A road driver I trained called me over the weekend and we caught up a bit he said he did almost 3,800 miles last week and had his best week ever. I’m loaded with 5.5” grinding balls this time going to Henderson Mine north of Silverthorne, then clear over to Whitewater CO to load rock back for KC.

I’m busy, the business model I operate under is pretty unique, mostly everything I do is for familiar customers that I’ve hauled for for years, being based in central Florida I pretty much cover all of our southern needs which puts me in to more of a “dedicated” category.

Good to hear. I've seen the rates fall off some an then pick back up. Been having to stay out more during the slow time recently. I kinda got spoiled goin home every weekend. It was nice. So far I am still overall doing better money wise than when I was pulling a reefer.

That seems like a lotta miles to me. I run harder than when I was swinging doors, but by harder I mean longer days at times due to scheduling or hang ups loading an unloading. I've had some 3000 mile weeks, but a lotta times it's 2500 or less. Sitting in flagstaff waiting to unload. Gotta reload in phoenix if they'll load me past the appointment time. Gonna be a heading to Kansas City.
