    Lol, right..
It's gonna be 40"-41" high imo..
That puma he asked about is on 22.5 rubber..

Even my 17.5 tire is 36" tall, 34.5" in the center when all the camber is gone..

I had a Fontaine that was 38” and a transcraft that was 40” I think it was. You can get some as short as 30” but the small tires, hubs and brakes are a big trade off for a 30” deck. My Fontaine and transcrap had 22.5’s.

Run Transcrap 53’ combo step. 10 over 42. They are a bit heavy. 11400 before boxes/trays, plus we add pole pockets in them.

Mine had a sliding rear axle. It was pretty close to the same weight.

Do only combo or steel get that low on 22.5? I'd consider giving up them 2 inches for an aluminum 38" deck height on 22.5..

    Getting fed up with 17.5's..

My Fontaine was all steel. The transcraft was a combo. I think the Fontaine aluminum was around 38” too, but I never had an all aluminum step

Thanks in no small part to this thread. I have decided to get a flat bed instead of a step.
There were many correct statements made about the availability of loads for a step decker versus flat.
I realize that the consensus seems to heavily. Go towards a 48 foot with a spread.
I think I will be getting in Is aluminum fifty three with a rear slider.
I am looking at the brand east.
What is the best load board to use for flatbed?
