Quite possibly looking to switch over to tanker and become a O/O. Where's the money at on the tanker side? I'm open to learn and work anything. Where can you Gross $6000+ a week? 250k+ a year?

Ohio is the home base of the following carrier:
What We Do - Kenan Advantage Group (thekag.com)
Given your last known location -- I think it's probably a "no brainer" for you to investigate opportunities there.
They employ both company drivers and also owner ops.
If you have no previous tanker experience -- arguably one of the easiest ways to transition over to tanker is to start out by hauling fuel (that's what I did).
They have many fuel hauling opportunities.
Once you get 12 - 18 months of fuel under your belt (with a good safety record, of course) -- basically, the rest of the tanker world wants to talk to you.
Suggestion: start out as a company driver with KAG -- & learn the biz! Make sure tanker is in fact something you like, to begin with. If you should later decide that hauling fuel sucks -- with KAG, you could transition over to food-grade, or over to hauling chemicals, for example (and without the mega-hassles of switching to another carrier).
I've seen their rigs. Of the ones I've seen -- it's good-looking equipment.
They're a tanker "super buffet", of sorts.
Think about it......

Tankers is a multi-faceted section of trucking.
Each variety has it's peak spot and you could spend a lot of time chasing the most money only too get there and have something you can't see change it all and down the toilet your jewel goes...and you start it all over again.KDHCryo, canadianredneck and kemosabi49 Thank this. -
I like hauling jet and diesel
In soflo doing this for a year
I really enjoy it -
Went over to KAG Merchant Gas chasing the money, worked an account making 135K last year company driver, hotel every night, 3 weeks on, 1 week off. That was a sweet gig, but got shut down. NYC every other night.
You can gross 250K a year as an O/OP or Lease OP at a lot of companies, to include SNBC, QC, Henniff, Robbie D Wood, and Transwood. But with price of a Bulk SPec'd tractor, fuel, etc these days, I would just go company until freight rates come back up.canadianredneck, lual and wis bang Thank this.
