I bought a bunch of Ford pickups, almost half of which have been for servicing beyond PM, you know like new transmissions, Alternators, ECM, body computers, a few new brake calipers, and rotors oh, and a new engine in one of them.

I brought the last one in myself, after being jerked around for three hours, it was a warranty emissions issue and they would have to order the part.

When I asked for a loaner to get home I was asked "Do you have the Uber app on your phone?"

If he's good, for certain. I opened my shop in 04 at 55$ an hour. 13 years later it was double, and 130$ when i closed up.

You learn that you don't want the customers looking for cheap labor, and if you do excellent work, you don't need them.

I think he is finally starting to learn that lesson...
I get it he invested alot of money in this shop & tools .. but when you work to cheap you get customers you really don't want

If I had to make a choice.. And was forced to hire someone I would put more faith in a mobile guy then the 25 yr old parts changer the Dealer has in his shop..
