MN was doing roadsides again today. On I35 from Lakeville-mn to Owatonna, MN. They have a weigh station on each side of I35 south of owatonna or just north of I-90. These are pull off sites only with no coops and they are hardly ever open, at least in the last 7yrs i've been haulin they've stayed closed. I think recently they have been out in full force to show the state that they are doing a good job after they got sued by the OOIDA.

Is mn still putting drivers out of service using their lame driver fatigue checklist ? You know, the one that says you are too tired to drive if you have a messy bed, overflowing trash, a cell phone,tv or magazine in your truck,or you havent shaved.

I don't think so, but i could be wrong. They were in some very hot water over that stuff. It wouldn't be too smart for them to have continued the program that got them in trouble. I haven't heard what, if anything has become of the law suit by the OOIDA.

Its still in discovery (trading who's got what) and I can't recall if its scheduled for trial yet.

I recall hearing on the Dave Nemo show a couple of weeks ago that someone had been put out of service based on that stupid list of questions recently.

Thats funny that they are still pushing it on drivers now. My friend who drives a rolling parking lot went through the st.croix scale and they started giving him the run around. He told them to back off and if they didn't they would have another law suit on their hands for violating personal rights. They backed down immediately. You just have to be firm with them and not let em push you around.

    The Challenger Thanks this.
