Did you mention he only gets paid a percentage for loaded miles? Or am I mistaken?

His second load, he got to the shipper but they didn't know anything about the load, so his dispatcher found him another load but he's deadheading 6 hours to pick it up. Is it routine for the company to not have a lease-purchase agreement that is signed? He never filled out an application, never saw the lease details. His payment is $600 a week and his boss told him it would be paid off in 3 years, same thing he told his cousin who also recently started with the same company. He's already done that his first week. His boss said he'd be able to find his loads. Not true. His boss said after a couple months he'd get him a manual truck and now he says that's not going to happen. He doesn't have an actual physical location and we are pretty sure the dispatcher lives in Romania and works remotely.

So Rosemont Logistics is a sleezy Russian outfit from “Rosemont IL, but they re-filed an MC in Texas to throw people off. They were just incorporated in Texas in 6/2021 and have a Chicago mailing address with Texas Secretary of State. They were filed as an “Inc” and forfeited their tax payer status and refilled as an “LLC.” I would run for the hills and never look back. DOT is slowly catching on to the Chicago companies that are being ran illegally from other countries and the Foreign companies are trying to stay one move ahead, but they are still failing miserably. They prey on truckers who desire the pride of ownership. Just give them another 6 months or so. The MC will be closed and they will be calling him in to change out his decals.

Update: 3 months in. So far, no major issues. The owner has been on the ball about fixing issues that do come up. The truck is still running good, my husband is still making money. A couple little issues that have come up, were quickly resolved. His dispatcher is good about working with him and home time has not been an issue. Lease-purchase is a lot harder than being a company driver and it has been an adjustment for him and me, but he is a hard worker and going to keep at it. So, overall, it's not a bad company.

Thanks for the update. Keep us advised how things are going, okay? There are so many failure stories out there about lease/purchase that it's good to hear about a successful one.
