Denver is now a dead zone. I haven't seen anything out of there. There's a load going from Phoenix to Denver that pays good but Denver is now devoid of freight. Use to be able to get loads to Waco, TX from a place about 120 miles out of Denver hauling animals feed to TSC but I haven't seen that load for weeks. There use to be work out of Aurora as well. I'm not sure what's happening but the SW it is a mess right now.

Load got canceled out phx. Picked up dry load 430 miles for 1400.00 Have no clue why you’d be with Schneider. How much a year leaving it on the table? Tens of thousands?? Lease on to a carrier that also gives you more choices than what’s only best for them… There are thousands of carriers out there. Just look on here. Lots of members are discussing them and the type of trailer they pull.

Well, here's a riddle for you.......
How do you know that the stuff you're picking up isn't originally brokered by one of the bigs; say, Schneider for example.
If that were the case, instead of the Schneider drivers going against 1 company, you would be going against several.

It's amazing the number of drivers who think they "got an in", when, truth be told, they're swimming in the same pool, just different names.

You’re absolutely correct. However Schneider guys are complaining about peanuts for their hauls when if you shop around you can make more. The load came from TQL. Could they got it from somewhere else. Who knows and don’t care. I’m happy with the amount. If it pays more than Schneider why would you want to haul for Schneider? You need every bit of profit to be successful. Not just afloat. Cheap freight from a direct source is still cheap freight.

I can't answer for Schneider. I will say this much, I went to Phoenix exactly one time and the only thing I could find was a load of water going to SLC. I never went back.
So, in my mind the problem is not Schneider. The problem is drivers who won't take the time to research where the good freight is, and where it's not. It's a business. And running a business involves more than putting gas in the tanks.
But to my other comment, I was saying that, yeah, you can book with TQL or whomever, but you never really know where that shipment started from. Truth be known, you might have pulled more than one Schneider load; you just didn't know it.

The business has become so corrupt that you really don't know who's doing what. And I guess they like it that way. I have a feeling that there is a day of reckoning coming with these brokers.

There is nothing illegal of co brokering. Point is PHX “may” be bad for Schneider. Guys here are saying yes. If you’re on the Schneider choice your choice is what Schneider gives you instead of every other brokerage. It’s a matter of volume. In the end Schneider choice gives you little choice.

I went up there and, aside from the mountains, it was one of the beautiful rides ever.
Found a load of Bic lighters going to PA and hauled tail.
Went through Wyoming in the winter and said, never again.
That said, the ride from Beaver...something, to SLC was the prettiest in my career.
