Reason is letting you stay allows time for you to discuss with others managements shortcomings. Skillet was too good a worker, too dependable and had sense enough to question/suggest other methods of completing the work. This is a particular trait of forklift dealerships. When you hire on at one, the pace is already set by the shop hands. Management don't know what the shop does, so they cannot improve it.
When a dealer ship completely closes or a new on is opened in a city, is the only time you can initiate a change to get the stuff in, fix, it, and deliver it back.
Did 7 yrs with Clark, 5 with Nissan as a non compete. Either could have increased 25% easily just by getting after the work. A Laugh....
One had "We hustle" on the tailgates of the service trucks.
