and what ever you do NEVER LEASE PURCHASE A TRUCK FROM THEM
they will get you into the 90 day contact and then play with your pay
i had a dispatcher threaten me and i reported him and all they said was
you need a different dispatcher He must not have said that
i personally would never recommend this company to anyone
stay away if you want a paycheck find someone else

Never listened to BOZO, his name said it all for me. Never met anyone who made $50000/yr working for them either.

I went from '96 thru '01 with 50k plus each year along with many others, but after that things slid downhill in a hurry.

50k per year is company driver wages. Even if that's net.

All that is true, but it is also true, just because you are in a union and under contract does not mean you cannot be fired. It all boils down to if you are in a union that is worth a crap.

If a company breaks the contract and the union refuses to do nothing about it, your worse than screwed. And if you think the Labor Relations Board or the Dept of Labor will help you, dream on!

It is better to have no union at all than to have one that is "just a little corrupt".

I was stupid I fell for JB Hunt's lies. I've been trucking for fifteen years and should of have known better. I initially contacted them about thier six wheeler operation. I'm 48 yrs old with a bad back and emphasima. Their recruters offerd me a midwestern regional job and home on weekends. They were going to put me under a load to Burlington, NJ. I didn't outright refuse the load but questioned them on it. Well I got fired. I got my start with Schnieder and worked for them for five years and have worked for an owner operator on and off for the last ten.
My advise stay away from the mega one size fits all trucking companies and stick with the smaller ones. Granted the benifits might not be as good but it's worth it not having to put up with the headaches and the ignorance of some idiot 1000 miles away that nows little or next to nothing about this industry.

the best thing to do is to learn from it.. all truckload companies do this sort of abusive behavior.. they all know that most drivers hate to switch
jobs . this is why they abuse truckload drivers..
