The pulmonologist sleep doctor should be able to fax the sleep report easy. It doesn’t have to be the same day. My DOT doctor wants a 1 year sleep report. He just wants to see something within last 30 days or so. I can get 1 year report my self from DME with the SD card from my machine. I was getting 1 year report from my cpap machine app(ResMed) but my cpap is old now at 7 years and they cut the cell phone data off.

ResMed only put 3G cell phone data in my machine and the cell phone companies cut off 3G data couple years ago. So I can’t an use the app anymore for sleep reports. I’m back to SD card data in the cpap machine . If anyone getting cpap machine make sure it has LTE data or Bluetooth. ResMed is kinda behind on this because they are still selling cpap without 4G LTE data or Bluetooth. Their newest cpap has both but their Bipap machines have not been updated yet

omg look if your friend is labeled with sleep apnea and got tested for it and testers gave him a machine hes stuck with it. Only way to get out of it is to retest and prove you dont have sleep apnes no more, and keep all documentation. If this about getting sd data to dot doctor make appoint with sleep doc they will run info and give you letter and data saying your compliant

yep, if your company lets you wander outside the matrix for your DOT physical, do it.

I print out my sleep report. Hand it to the DOT DR.
I get a physical at Duke Urgent Care and my primary care Dr is at a Duke Health… All my info is accessible by either Dr….. Makes it simple.
Since I started CPAP, I average 7:35 a night sleep, never wake up to pee in middle of night. Feel refreshed and went from 46 incidence an hr to averaging .5 an hr.
Up to 5 is considered normal…

That's good for you. What about the guy who has to use it and has 0.7 evens per hour? And don't say it doesn't happen. I've seen the report.

Why did you respond to NCMickey by asking about the guy who has to use it and has 0.7 per hour? Ncmickey has to use it and has 0.5 per hour, which is even less.

Because it started at 0.7 per hour. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

Do you mean that the guy had 0.7 apneas per hour on his sleep test (when he was not using a CPAP machine)?

The worry here is that the doctor will be a jerk and won't fax a letter to the medical examiner even though my friend has been in compliance by using the CPAP Machine.
