My trailer says 80,000# in 53'.
Does this mean I cannot haul an ingot within design specifications?
I have a few questions about step decks

If you want that trailer to last I wouldn’t load a coil or ingot that weighs more than about 25 tons on it. And I would close the axles up when I did.

for lowboy trailers
concentrates usually rated in either 10 12 or 16’
then an overall load rating for a 2 point load - blocked in the front and rear of well -especially for stretch trailers the most important number.
some people ignore these ratings but you do so at your own peril. That’s why you see soo many sagging trailers.singlescrewshaker, IH9300SBA, cke and 2 others Thank this. -

How many load levelers do you need on a step deck to be safe and legal? Assuming a full length load.

I assumed 4, since that all most trucks have. Ordered them today. Should be up and earning the $1 a mile loads in 2 weeks.
