What did dispatch have you do with that load? Professor I agree with what you're saying. No need to be accountable unless necessary lol....in all seriousness, I wouldn't admit to any bad driving even if it did occur. Hershey in Edwardsville will load some crazy pallets on the trailer, knowingly. I got one with a busted pallet of Milk Duds. It was the first 2 pallets when you open the doors. Candy everywhere.i had to take multiple cases of Milk Duds home....the candy nobody seems to like lol

Oh yeah, that new TA is gorgeous. I actually got a tire there recently. Lots of room to park. That shop is hella spacious. They have the Wendy's, Subway, and what looks like a new and improved hot case. I think we can put tombstones on Country Prides and Iron Skillets

There's still a few country pride an iron skillets left. Personally I miss the good ol days when ya could count on a nice hot sit down meal most anywhere ya stopped. Some of the new generation of drivers only really know what it's like to have mostly only fast food options an grab an go.

Wow. Not many full service stops anymore. I only knew of hood's an one other place that I've seen that still had it.

You can count me under that new generation of drivers. Only been out here since 2021. Besides the occasional iron skillet, I rarely see anything sit down. I saw it a little more often when I was at Schuster and did a lot of rural Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, South and North Dakota runs, but it's pretty hard to find a nice sit down restaurant east of 35 that operates on a 'truck schedule' and open when I park.

Well I may be a showing my age a little but I can remember a time when ya could sit down at a mom an pop an have a meal an leave a tip for no more than a fiver. Parking was free everywhere I went which at that time was just the midwest running a 600 mile radius of central Illinois. And there were still some full service diesel stops around. Coffee an a free sandwich or pastry was generally free with fuel. People waved at ya an pulled over to help when needed. No offense to the new generation, but the world as it is now is a completely different and inconsiderate ball game. An here I still got a solid 10 years before I can dream of retirement.
