It's amazing how quickly things go downhill. I remember when I was looking into Central about 6 months ago, this company didn't seem "too" bad. I knew it would have it's faults but everyone seemed to at least make it. Now, 6 months later, I am a driver for them and everyone is complaining. Something must have changed within because I find it hard to believe that within 6 months a company can go from "meh, ok" to horrible. And trust me, I'm on the horrible side...haha. Miles stink, pay stinks, maintenance stinks, Central stinks.

    LadyElite Thanks this.

Hahahahaha!!! my first load back from hometime and already plagued with problems. Had appt at 0530 at kraft in stockton. Got there on time went to check in. Guard tells me "that load has been canceled". WTF?!?! I turn around and park on the street. QC'd Dispatch and 1 hr later they get back to me saying the load is good and Kraft is having probs with their computers and they will get back to me no eta. So I go to sleep for a couple hrs. sometime while i was asleep i get a QC saying that I will be loaded between 0900 and 0930. I get there at 1000 because it was supposed to be preloaded. Get to guard gate and give same BOL #. "that load has been canceled" WTF!!! contact dispatch again asking if the BOL # changed. 1 Hr later i get a response. "No the BOL # is the same and they are loading my trl now". Now its about 1130 i go back to the guard shack and ask if i can go to the shipping office to find out whats going on. Guard says no, that i need to check in first. so she calls shipping and after a few minutes with them they find my load. Guard tells me to go park in front of Door 14 so I do. I need to leave by 1430 to get to my 99 in Reno on time # 0300 (drv time and 8 hr sleeper berth). So finally at 1345 im done loading, get my paperwork, pull away from the dock and notice something funny with my trl tire on the drv side. I G.O.A.L and the tire has a 4 inch spike in it! F-ME!!! this load not maybe but WILL be late. Now i am sitting at Wilson Tire in stockton waiting for the mechanic that OTRM called to come mount my spare tire.

I am outside stl on my 8 waiting to do my first bier run. Called AB to see what parking is like....maybe some on-site? Talked with scales, he says. "give me your order #, I'll see if you're a pre-load" Turns out order # not in their system, 45 mins prior to my call, he had conversation with Central about same #. I QC'd... no answer yet, but sure smells like a duck.

Where at in IL? Just received QC I've been removed from the order that didn't exist. How does one get paid to deadhead to a nonorder?
