Hope everyone reading this is in good health. I have a 2013 freightliner Cascadia 125 day cab. 300K miles. I’ve recently been experiencing a awful vibration while idling. Whole front of the truck shakes. Literally could put your hand on the front steers and feel the shake. I took it to a mechanic he told me suspension looks good bushing and leaf springs and engine mounts are solid. He did point out it could be my clutch… it is worn out but can a worn out clutch cause vibration while not in gear and idling?

I was reading that it might be the quanity control valve for the fuel system, mines vibrating too and thats mostly what im finding. They said if the quanity control valve doesnt fix it then replacing the whole fuel pump might do it too.

I was reading that it might be the quantity control valve for the fuel system. Mine is shaking too and that mostly what I am finding if all those things check out. They said if the quanity control valve doesnt do it then maybe replacing the whole fuel pump might fix it.

When mine went on a 2009 it surged up and down at idle … After they replaced it that 530 hp dd15 was putting out around 650 hp for the next 1000 miles or so until computer readjusted . Grossing 100,000 lbs I was passing tandems like they were parked in the mountains it felt awesome lol
