What do you actually check on a pre-trip inspection?

And just for curiosity sake, may I ask who you drive for? Have you been with the same company all 9 years?

    Kyle G. Thanks this.

He doesn't thank anyone . and I wouldn't suggest you waste your time reading all his threads your head would probably s ll inning & it would be 12 hrs of your life you'll never get back ..lol
But I agree with your thoughts about the pre trip .. I'am sure he just borrowed it from some where else

Thank you, but I'm not the most professional driver in the USA. I'm sure the most professional driver in the entire country would do a 100+ point pre-trip inspection before every shift.

P.S. And i didn't thank you before now because I didn't see your post before now. You got lost in the shuffle before.

P.P.S. And I usually check the 5th wheel release handle to see if someone pulled it several times per shift, not just during pre-trips and post-trips. I've been trucking for 9 years, and, fortunately, nobody has ever pulled my 5th wheel handle to sabotage me.

10 years ago we had a guy working for us in our warehouse and wanted to drive. Three of us would show him, tell him and guide him through everything he needed to know about our trucks. All three of us did it the same exact way so no confusion or question on how it should be done. Yet he fought us the whole time because according to him it wasn’t written down or illustrated in an actual text book for him to read. Lol!

It wouldn't have to take 12 hours to read if you guys didn't spam posts to just ridicule people. It might never get old to you guys, but it's juvenile to post the same things day in and day out that don't actually add to the conversation.

In his earlier threads he mentions failing the CR England road test... so not sure if he got on with them or someone else. I'm still not fully convinced he is even a driver.

If he keeps dishing out the BS, he is going to get it hurled right back at him. That's the way she goes!
