And just for curiosity sake, may I ask who you drive for? Have you been with the same company all 9 years?
What do you actually check on a pre-trip inspection?

But I agree with your thoughts about the pre trip .. I'am sure he just borrowed it from some where elseCrude Truckin' and Kyle G. Thank this. -

P.S. And i didn't thank you before now because I didn't see your post before now. You got lost in the shuffle before.
P.P.S. And I usually check the 5th wheel release handle to see if someone pulled it several times per shift, not just during pre-trips and post-trips. I've been trucking for 9 years, and, fortunately, nobody has ever pulled my 5th wheel handle to sabotage me. -
10 years ago we had a guy working for us in our warehouse and wanted to drive. Three of us would show him, tell him and guide him through everything he needed to know about our trucks. All three of us did it the same exact way so no confusion or question on how it should be done. Yet he fought us the whole time because according to him it wasn’t written down or illustrated in an actual text book for him to read. Lol!
