The intake air temp sensor and the barometric sensor share the throttle sensor 5 volt power. If there is a problem with connectivity to the TPS supply or return then it should cause a fault to be logged for one or both the BAP and IAT sensors.
The idle validation is open at idle, when the throttle is opened it will send a 12 volt signal to the ECM. Possibly if the 12 volt signal is momentarily lost the throttle would stop working but if the engine light comes on it should log a fault.
The power to the IVS comes from fuse 24 which is in the cab.
For some reason my pictures are not showing. If you PM me an email I will email you the diagrams.

If I remember correctly, there are wiring connections on the ECM inside the cab, and then on the firewall side, How do I correctly identify where the wires in the wiring diagram connect to the ECM?

Any progress on this?

If you go to page 59 of the manuals I sent you on the top right corner you will see the "Clean Power Harness". The clean power harness supplies power to the ECM and IDM. The harness is prone to worn spots that corrode and can cause the wires to break. The harness can have several large Metripack connectors depending where the batteries are. The Metripack connector terminals can loose their grip over time causing a voltage drop. It not uncommon to see the terminals melt into the plastic housing. Its a common practice to cut the Metripack connectors out and splice the wires. I would recommend unhooking the clean power harness at the batteries and pull it out take the split loom off and inspect the wires and replace the connectors including where it plugs into the main harness. The ECM needs a good power supply to operate properly.

So, a couple more developments, the gas pedal quiting was getting so bad, that restarting it would not get rid of the engine warning light, and "reset" things to allow the gas pedal to work again. It left me stuck in a parking lot, after unloading a car. So, I opened the hood and unplugged the aftermarket IDM relay that the dealership had installed years ago, and plugged it back in, and I was able to drive the truck again, so I went and bought a new relay, just a cheap 5 pin 12V 30A/40A relay and plugged it into the aftermarket pigtail that had been wired into the underhood fuse panel, and it was good for a few weeks, I thought that I had finally figured it out, but the problem is back periodically, and sometimes the idle goes from 700 RPM to 1000 RPM, and stays there. I finally did get 2 faults that popped up on the guage cluster, I don't knowif they are related to this problem or not, I would like to try and find a service manual in paper form, or a PDF that I can get printed off explaining the codes, and maybe some help fixing them. Here they are: 12 : 1 611 _14P and 150 : 2 2023_14P I also need helpIdentifying where the ECM and the IDM are located. I think that the ECM is the one located in the cab on the lower left floor against the firewall, but where is the IDM? and what does it look like? I would like to reseat the connectors on it, and check for corrosion. Please Help!! Thanks!
