Forward facing camera's are for you and the companies own good. Driver facing camera's are there to throw the driver under the bus. There are plenty of companies out there who don't use them.
My Driver Facing Camera experience (thoughts, please)?

Didn't watch the last one because it wants an account but after viewing the first 2 I can say with confidence an inward facing camera wouldn't have prevented those situations.
Just like the idiot today that I watched with his face and eyes focused straight ahead as he drove into the intersection agains a red light and then scrambled as he finally realized he screwed up as traffic coming the other way all but hit him. His inward camera wouldn't have made squat of a difference as his eyes never left the road.
You might have a slight argument with the second one but even with him looking straight forward his inability to recognize the tracks, train and how to properly handle them would have resulted in the same outcome.
Both incidents would still be abundantly clear to be drivers fault even as viewed from just a forward facing camera and even with no camera at all.Gearjammin' Penguin, Magoo1968, MACK E-6 and 3 others Thank this. -

Anybody willing to subject themselves to the POS mega carrier trucks full of the electronic nannies and tattle tale devices...they should take a long hard think about that and whether the money is worth it for putting up with all that.
