    Maybe their holding company does!lol
I think they’re in it just to acquire some of the assets (specifically the trucks).

Maybe they're moving towards auto parts type runs with their current customers? Not sure what else they'd need pup trailers for lol. Granted, Yellow did get a decent supply of new Volvos in the last couple of years just from what I've seen on the road. I'm guessing they'd inherit some customers, employees, and other things in the process.

    bzinger and mjd4277 Thank this.

Some of them are still relatively new, and given that they’re not plying the highway for Yellow anymore and just sitting awaiting auction somebody will get a few trucks with plenty of miles or years of service left on them.

Thanks for getting me up to speed. I had no idea they had any new equipment, all of their trucks I've ever seen have been raggedy old piles of junk.

That’s the thing,Yellow had bought new trucks, but in doing so the company violated the terms of the government loan they had received!

Wasn’t the loan a ppp loan for payroll during covid?

Yes,it most certainly was. And like some other companies and certain people Yellow squandered it!
