    I appreciate the advice. I'd be surprised to if I had that much in points. Just comparing the discounts from the last place I was leased to, to what shows in the Landstar fuel app, Landstar gers a nicer discount. 17 cents per gallon more than what last place did at the stop closest to me.

    The correct answer to this is put it in the engine compartment for several hours.

    We've not heard from the forums new entrants to Landstarve.

    They sought detailed information, and now have thrown us away like yesterday's email.

    @kanidana @Metalicious let's see some settlements.

    Who eats turkey for thanksgiving? If I was a vegan I would be offended right up to the top brass!

    Not very politically correct of them.

    Oh no, sir. Not at all. It took them a week to finally get me a trailer. Turned out it was at the Ft Worth terminal or field office, whichever you prefer to refer to it as. It wasn't that bad to get to it. My first week was garbage really. I got desperate and booked a not so good load to Pennsylvania. Paid $3500 before they took their cut. I think I cleared like $1.66 per mile or something like that for a hazmat load. Second load was $900 before the split, that I ended up netting $3 per mile. After all the deductions from the previous two negative weeks (while waiting on the trailer) I only cleared $667.

    This week won't be better, if at all, except for not being negative to begin with. The load I brought down to Georgia, I didn't look before I called about it when I got the load alert to see it didn't deliver until today (Friday). And the load alerts, since being here in this area since yesterday evening I can't seem to hit the call button fast enough. Maybe 10 seconds between the alert hitting my phone and calling the agent the loads were already gone. So I am booked on something that gives me a reset and gets me rolling Sunday.

    It is a learning experience though, for sure. Just have to get the routine down and should be okay, I would imagine. I haven't dealt with any of those horrible agents I have read about yet, I don't think. There is on particular agent I haven't called just because the comments on every load posted by this agent says "inc fuel", when it says they are direct shipper loads. If that means I just get 65% of whatever it says the gross revenue is, with no fuel broken out, I won't ever haul a thing for that agent.

    You must be the driver that dropped your trailer this morning then I guess. I saw that load SOS on the board too, but wasn't sure how it works when you already have a trailer. I mean obviously you drop it somewhere but wasn't sure if its just at a truck stop you leave your trailer to come back to later or what. Guess that explains why I saw two dry van trailers sitting at a truck stop in White Pine, TN. last week.
