An acquaintance/guy I know went to Merx Global a few years ago with a speeding ticket like yours and it was his only blemish on his record after 12 years of driving. Merx accepted him and I know he was with them until at least January of this year.

Side note... I know the road exactly that you got pulled over on by the local Barney Fife. I drive through there frequently and he is there every day just waiting for any driver to come by that's not running 35mph. IIRC the speed limit sign is actually a short, 3' tall sign in the middle of the construction zone. That's where it was the last time I passed through a few weeks ago.

Isn’t there a rule about road signs that have to be mounted at a certain height for visibility?

 

Texas......this would be the same place where the speed limit in rural school zones is 55? Smh

 

You’ve probably already checked this out, but have you looked around on social media (of which I know little and don’t participate in except this and one other truck related board) for jobs. The current job I have was found on Facebook by my kid. One of highest paying jobs I’ve had. The outfit I came from was a small operation and he was able to negotiate with his insurance to get my kid on board when everyone else was saying no. The bennies might not be top notch but the pay is great at smaller operations sometimes and things aren’t always as cut and dry as they are at larger operations
