That’s something I sure miss from my childhood, the fresh milk and the butter.
Aunt Winnie would save the cream each day, I would set of the evenings watching tv with a 1 gallon big mouth glass jar on my knee rocking it. Can still see the lumps slowly forming in my minds eye.
Aunt Winnie fix those big catheads in a big cast iron skillet, her homemade jelly or our own fresh honey or sorghum, it was a good life to be so hard at times.
We use to go out to our neighbors about 3/4 mile away and pick Quince from his tree, aunt Winnie would make a jelly called Quince honey, anyone every eat any…? Actually had a little honey taste to it….

One of my big customers told me that if my truck had a double frame and a dump bed, it would be worth much more than a sleeper truck right now….jamespmack, CAXPT, cke and 8 others Thank this. -
If my General was road worthy at the moment I’d almost buy a bed for it, it has a double frame and a new hoist cylinder still on it.
Dump trucks are a hot commodity here right now, but when this road construction on 64 here drys up, I’d hate to be the guy making the payment on 6 or 7 new trucks with no work for them…jamespmack, CAXPT, cke and 8 others Thank this. -
