That does work when it's really cold but yesterday it was above freezing. The snow was a wet mix that just stuck to everything so I had to melt it off or take it off by hand. I've been wondering why nobody made heated blades. Do they work well?

Thanks for the compliment, but she's a fuel hungry lead sled! It weighs 30,500 full of fuel (300 gallons) with me in it. That's pulling a 46'6" x 78 x 102 spread axle Timpte with the big doors and vibrators (the removable kind). I rarely fill 'er up all the way though, and usually try to stay down around 29,500 or below if I can help it. As far as the fuel mileage, I struggle to get over 5.3 if I run over 65. My deadhead is usually less than 15%, and I'm usually weighing every bit of 84,000 to 85,500 if I can hold enough feed to get that heavy, and always up to gross on the backhaul, so I give the ISX plenty to play with.Big John Thanks this. -
Nothing like pulling up with a full load to find an empty building with a real estate sign out front. Then getting rerouted to drop the load at a place you went right past 100 miles ago just in time for the place to be closed till monday.
bullhaulerswife and slabrunner Thank this. -
If you google "heated wiper blades" I think there are two outfits in the UP that make them,.....
I do know that I had planned on buying them,...But I went out of business before I had a chance to have any fun buying stuff for the truck,.. -
Buddy, that really sucks, and I haven't seen that one yet - how on earth could you avoid that if no one verified the address given to you? Like the customer that placed the order, for example.....
I've had bad phone numbers, no company name, no city and state, and the wrong company name before - but a vacant address and back-tracking a hundred miles is a new one even to me. Hope you're making the best of a long reset, and it would be great if someone said they were sorry with cash!kajidono Thanks this. -
Highside and Kansas ive got a good one for ya!!!!! Ok youve been to horizon and know where we park our phneumatics. Ok i always park my two dedicated trailers by the back gate on the west side. Tuesday i get to work and something looks funny. The trailer on the outside was empty and the trailer to the rite of it was loaded. A bottom feeder feed hauler was parked beside my trailer monday night when i dropped it. So im sure who did it. Ok they pulled out and tried making the gate and drug my trailer side ways into my other loaded trailer. Ruined left and right front fender on empty trailer and ruind left fender on loaded trailer. wow what a crappy way to start the day with paperwork and reports on the phantom damage. Now i know which truck was parked beside them when i left monday night but cant be sure if he actually did it. I can say those guys really suck and im tired of them stealing the lights out of our trailers, we had a brand new wagon parked there over night and 13 led lights were gone in the a.m. So ive been watching there junk equipment to see if i could see the damage on the right rear of there trailer, i thought wow ive got this guy caught and watched three more of them idiots pull into the wheat dump with drag marks down right side of hopper and side marker lights missing wow thats awesome and says alot for there safety record aswell. No wonder its at like 90percent lol. It gets old and its sad when you cant trust your equipment to be parked at the customer in a fenced in lot. Oh by the way im not being stuck up when i see you guys my cb went to crap and havent got it fixed yet, i was going to come over and chat with ya highside the other day but you were on the phone and looked to be in deep thought with caculator and paper out lol. Another thing that helps with winter driving is to move the window washer reservoir inside the cab so the washer fluid is heated,...
