    Who's driving them? Die hard truck drivers, thats who. The same ones that spend big bucks on chrome/lights/paint/interior bling etc. And most live in 'em 365 days a year.

    Ya know, that's kinda why I started the thread. I think there is a strong possibility I'll spend a lot of time actually living day-in-day-out in my truck. I've said in more than one post that hometime is not a big deal for me. I'm single, my son is grown, I'd rather spend off-time wherever I happen to be when off-time happens. I have family and friends all over so I'd like to think I could spend time with all of them every now and again.

    i think once you get out here , you can decide if living on the road is good for you.
    you may end up not liking living on the road and want a fixed shelter.
    we do alot of visiting family and vacationing to places we like, so our living arrangement works great for us.
    we find the conveniences that we have very handy for our needs.

    Eleven years I lived in my truck, for ten of them I was the happiest camper around. Then came year number eleven, and I wanted to go home, except I had none. I sold my truck and moved into a Hampton Inn for six months. I have been back on the road a while, but I keep a place to live with a little car in the garage. I am a happy camper once again.

    I hoping that somewhere in my travels I'll find a good spot to retire. I've lived in the south most of my life so I've "been here, done this". Not saying that the south is not where I will end up retiring, I'd just like to see some more places and look at other options. New England is appealing as is the Northwest, even though I've never lived in the Northwest...so I gotta go see!
