Dirty road water covering mirrors, glass

I have a ‘22 579 and it gets RainX once or twice a week at the truck wash and in 212k miles I haven’t experienced what you’re describing. My previous truck was a ‘17 579 that didn’t have side fairings and I also don’t recall my mirrors and windows being dirty to the point I couldn’t see in traffic. My guess is your windows and mirrors were dirty to start with and the dirty spray off the road made them worse.

 

You might try vortex generators in front of the steers. And check that the rubber seals at the front of the hood are there. Something is screwed up with the airflow that it's getting forced out the wheel openings.

By the way as I looked at those pictures I was able to clearly define a distance within reason.
And yes I would bring it to a stop rather than risking someone else’s life by blindly just switching lanes if it was actually total blindness. At least that way others have a fighting chance but if the issue was known before hand some sort of makeshift solution would have been in place beforehand.

you said it was in the shop. did they remove the tire fairing under the hood? the one that goes over the tire and blocks off the engine compartment from the outside.
