It's a nice road. Lots better than the other EW corridors, especially during winter. Don't worry.
simplyred1962 and ConcertDriver Thank this. -
Thanks im actually headed ur way from nebraska with a stop in Tempe AZ. How bad is San Diego to drive threw?
-
Watch your speed coming off the Sandia into Alburquerque same thing through Flagstaff other than happy trails.
ConcertDriver and simplyred1962 Thank this. -
It's a good ride. Nothing really to worry about but I second the motion on watching your speed dropping off into Alburquerque and Flag...Also if you happen to come back across I-10, make sure your doing the speed limit when your dropping off into Las Cruces. Enjoy the ride!

Easy $$$$ money. Tempe then to SD. Easy $$$$

Watch out for Gallup also...StateTroopers watch I-40 pretty close...

Beautiful out that way, too! I love going west!

Don't think that driving I-40 through N.M. is the Rockies. Yes it is, but, the very southern part. You want the Rockies, drive I-70 west from Denver.
Big Don Thanks this. -
you want the rockies, jump off 70 at loveland pass and enjoy the extra hour of very enjoyable driving. It goes around the eisenhour tunnel. hazmat route. Hahahhaha took it one time when i was a rookie, omg, white knuckled 20mph all the way. Scariest ride ever. I wouldnt be bothered at all by it now but omg that was scary for being in a truck for 2 weeks.
