Hi, I have applied for a bunch of companies so far although I have no clue whether are they good or bad. At this point I want to find a job and get more experience. I don't really care about money, but I do want my future employer to treat me well and help as much as possible in training. Don't want to end up with a company that will take advantage on me and screw me up. Thanks.

To get MUCH better answers to your inquiry, we need some info from you:

    • Where do you live (nearest city/state...&/or zip code)?
    • How long have you had a class "A" CDL?
    • Do you have any driving accidents or citations in the last 5 years (if so -- please specify)?
    • In the last 10 years -- do you have any criminal history (if so -- please specify)?
    • What CDL endorsements (if any) do you now have?
    • How old are you (most CDL jobs have a minimum age requirement)?

    Where is your location?
During this recession, the easiest way to find a decent job is to apply with refrigerated companies.
Let us know your location and we'll help you find a good job.

Right now I'm looking for OTR or regional in WNY. Just got my CDL-A (passenger, double-triple and tanker), can also drive manual, no experience besides trucking school. No accidents or criminal history, I'm 21+.

    Chinatown Thanks this.

CAUTION: The CDL job market is pretty tight right now -- especially for those with no prev experience. :(

Expect/be ready for some "no" replies...before you finally get a "yes" response.

SUGGESTION: GO BACK -- & get that HAZMAT endorsement.

Most so-called "hazmat" loads are not really dangerous; easy examples: charcoal, hair spray, paint, etc.

You're leaving EA$Y MONEY on the table, without it.

You can try Leonard's Express, but I think they hire from only one school in Farmington, NY.
Used to hire from anywhere. Call and ask what the policy is now.
