well, it was three on and three off. Corona Virus started and i just waited then and kept waiting. lol. Seems like these companies that offer a refresher course are the best way to get back in or lease?
Coming out of retirement to drive again.

REFRESHER COURSE
OVERVIEW
Do you have a current Class-A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) but don’t have recent experience to qualify to drive solo right away? Do you have a Class-A CDL but don’t have any on-the-road solo driving experience at all? The KLLM Driving Academies across the country offer a 9-day Refresher Course that will put you on the path to either getting back on the road as a professional truck driving or helping you start your career.Tolkien, catdog45 and bryan21384 Thank this. -
Ahhhh I see. Your location may also be a hindrance given that you're so deep into NC. Did you try Mabes or EPES? If those don't work, I think you should consider the refresher in post 55 with KLLM.catdog45 Thanks this.

I agree IWX ( who hired me after 8 years of not driving, I did a refresher with them for 2 weeks and went solo ) problem is, IWX doesn't have any recruiters on site. It all goes through Western Flyer Express now. I don't know their policy. (I resigned from IWX 3 weeks ago and bought my own truck) IWX requires the truck be left at the yard while on home time. They have a yard in Indiana which is "close" to Ohio.
Transland out of Strafford Mo. offered me a refresher but IWX was able to bring me onboard more quickly so I went with them. Also, Transland lets you take the truck home. -

I doubt there's any companies out there that would put a disabled driver on who's been off the road since 2010, before 2010 drove otr from 1993 thru 2010. But now I'm having to walk with a cane due to a childhood auto accident.
catdog45 Thanks this.
